9 AM

This is usually a more traditional style of service with good teaching, preaching & music. It is our biggest & main service of worship.  While mostly traditional in nature, this is not to say that we don’t have some changes of our worship into more contemporary areas…we are  always looking for ways to make our worship more accessible & meaningful, especially for those special times in the Christian calendar.
Music is an important part of our 9am worship service.  The congregation includes some exceptional organists and other musicians. Whilst the organ and the piano provide most of the accompaniment, the members have brought assorted musical skills to worship at times, including guitars, violin, recorder, trombone and flute. Of course, everyone brings their voices, and the Bowral congregation loves to sing. We have a choir that participates in our worship time on a regular basis and particularly at Christmas and Easter.

11.30am – Uniting Families Connect

The Uniting Families Connect service is a relaxed, all ages time of sharing which incorporates music, prayer, craft, Scripture, activities, small groups as a general worship event. It is held in the Gallery at Bowral Uniting and led by the Families Connect team. We enjoy a shared lunch following the service and have fellowship together. It is an intimate gathering of between 25-40 people but we’re always keen to welcome new families into our midst. The service is held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at 11:30am. It is always a blessed time of sharing and refreshment in faith.

6pm Evening Fellowship

The evening service/small group is an intimate time of sharing prayer and reflection around God’s story and ours. We meet each week in the Gallery and engage in a small group type of time which includes conversation, prayer, singing, Scripture and reflection on themes and issues of our time. We share communion once a month on the 3rd Sunday of the month and the service is regularly led by different people including Rev Michael Earl, the minister, elders, and retired ministers. It is always a peaceful and productive time as we probe the content of the Christian faith within the context of worship. All are welcome and we regularly enjoy a soup supper to follow the service.

Monthly Mid-week Communion Service

4th Wednesday of the Month 11:30am

The mid-week communion service is a reflective time of worship in the church which caters especially for people who struggle to get to worship on Sunday mornings. It is a formal, but intimate service which includes a sermon and the sharing of the Lord’s Supper as well as hymns and prayers. It is followed by soup and lunch at our Food & Fellowship Community Lunch in the Gallery which regularly sees over 30 in attendance. Services are generally led by Rev Michael Earl with support from retired ministers and others from time to time. It is always a blessed time of quiet and contemplative worship and all are welcome to attend.
