Morning Tea after Worship (Click on photo to see larger image)
Fellowship begins with morning tea after worship, where the best coffee (Fairtrade and organic) of any church in the Southern Highlands is served, and continues at occasional church lunches and dinners throughout the year. However, fellowship is far more than a specific goal for certain events. It is a facet of every aspect of the church’s work. When people come to the Bowral congregation, they usually stay because they are made to feel so welcome.
Fellowship comes to a focus in small groups, of which there are several.
The Men’s Coffee Hour is held on the first Tuesday of the month in the Atrium of the Grand Hotel in Bowral at 10am where good coffee, raisin toast and big yarns are the order of the day. Just come along or contact Lloyd Vidler on 4861-1890 for further information.
The Men’s Breakfast happens quarterly on the second Saturday of the months of February, May, August and November at 8am. Breakfast is followed by the speaker on a subject of general interest. Contact Jim Osborne on 4861-3690 to reserve your place at the next breakfast.
Ladies Fellowship meets on the first Thursday of the month at 2pm in the Gallery. Fran Manton (4871-1897) or Ruth Menzel (4872-1942) will be pleased to introduce you to the group.
Less structured informal groups meet in homes around a meal, as did the first Christian gatherings. If you are interested in becoming part of one of these, please ring Bruce Schuber on 4869-1054.
